I currently teach at Divine Child High School in Dearborn, Michigan where I teach 9th grade English and am the moderator of the student council. I was surprised by how much I loved the eagerness and excitement my 9th graders brought into my classroom each day. They make my job enjoyable and different each day. I also have worked with the student council which has helped to fullfill my passion for youth leadership. Seeing my students act as beacons of change in the school while also making a difference in the community makes my job so rewarding and worth while.
